We are a family. At the centre of our vision is the belief that institution led care sets children up for failure. We believe wholeheartedly that every child deserves a family to call their own. They are a daughter, a son, a brother, a sister, a grandchild. Babies are loved unconditionally as our own until their forever family. We are committed to providing experiences synonymous with family life. To foster a sense of self-worth and belonging knowing that they are loved beyond measure and worthy despite their birth circumstances. To make sure that each tiny human thrives and not merely survives.

Our Objective

Our objective is to create a calm, loving and happy home in which the babies in our care can grow and develop safe in the knowledge that they are loved and treasured. Our aim is make sure that these babies never feel ‘different’ or unwanted. To give them normal day to day experiences within the bonds of a family thereby creating memories and making the transition to their ‘Forever family’ as joyous as possible.

The heart and soul of our baby home, a person whose passion for nurturing little ones knows no bounds. Our founder, with a heart too big for her budget is the driving force behind this haven for infants. With a background in pre-school teaching, she has dedicated her life to creating a s nurturing, family environment for every baby who enters our doors.

From the moment she first cuddled a newborn , she knew her calling was to ensure that every child, no matter their start in life, has a place to call home. Her story is not just about nappies and bottle feeds. Whether it’s organising fundraisers, comforting distraught little ones or playing ‘Mom’ to many, her resolve never waivers. Armed with passion and a mission to spread love, she has built not just a home, but a sanctuary where babies thrive and not merely survive.

With a background in corporate business and years of hands-on experience his insights are highly sought after in boardrooms and strategic meetings alike. His career spans various sectors, where he has played pivotal roles in driving growth, optimising operations, and fostering sustainable development.

He assists the organisation in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community leaders, and government agencies. His expertise in communication and negotiation helps the baby home advocate for its causes, secure funding, and build partnerships that further its mission.

With a distinguished career in medicine, this Earth Angel’s expertise and heartfelt dedication have been invaluable to the baby home, bringing both medical insights and genuine empathy to the board. She is deeply involved in fundraising efforts, passionately advocating for better resources, and tirelessly mobilising community support, all to make the baby home a safe and loving haven for all our littlies.

Many of our donations are a direct result of her hard work and commitment and she is never too busy to pop in for some cuddles or to act as a sounding board when advice is needed She has a heart of gold and all who come into contact with her come away feeling just a little bit better for having met her.

As the newest addition to our board at Journey of Hope, this individual has an entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic energy which are set to bring a fresh perspective to our organisation. Known for his innovative mindset and ability to turn ideas into reality, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and growth.

His expertise spans across multiple industries, showcasing versatility and a keen understanding of market dynamics. Renowned for his proactive approach, he is a true go-getter, always ready totackle challenges head-on and drive projects forward. His enthusiasm and dedication are evident in every endeavour they undertake, making them a valuable asset to our team.

In the tapestry of our baby home, this man is a thread of unwavering love and dedication. His impact on the lives of the children is immeasurable. As the dad of the house, he embodies the virtues of patience, kindness, and wisdom, creating a haven where each baby can reach their full potential. He is constantly researching ways to improve the lives of our littlies and he wholly embraces his role as ‘chief cook and bottle washer’.

His story is one of inspiration, reminding us all of the profound difference one individual can make in the lives of many.

Get to Know Cheynne

The youngest member of the board brings with her the exuberance of youth. Tasked with handling all things ‘techno’ she manages the social media and is the the driving force behind our appeals for help. When not posting up a storm, she can be found flat on the floor, surrounded by adoring toddlers.

Her firm, yet loving demeanour make her a firm favourite amongst the babies and she is always ready to jump in and get her hands dirty when needed.
